BY-ELECTION @ ALL SAINTS WARD! 30 July, 2009 (Thursday)

‘Dear Resident,You may have heard the sad news that our local councillor,
Tina Franklin, died on May. Tina was a great friend, a fantastic councillor for
our area and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her and were helped by
her. It was heartening to see so many people at her funeral at St. Luke’s on 10
June.It seems very soon, but there will be a by-election to elect a new
Councillor on Thursday 30 July. I hope you will give your support to Charlie
Stewart. He will be an excellent Councillor for our area.'With best
wishes,Councillor Steve JordanAll Saints ward Liberal Democrats’

Charlie is eager to change the tackle the following issues:

-Boy racers along Berkeley Street, Albion Street
-Hewlett Road illegal parking
-The future of the Haines and Strange site
-St James’ Street crossing-Potholes EVERYWHERE!!

As you can see from the graph above, the competition for votes in Cheltenham has always been a ‘two horse race’ between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats. As always, the competition is fierce and the only way to optimise our chances of winning this next election is to support Charlie Stewart on the 30th July, 2009 Thursday. To make this easier, you can apply for a postal vote. To do so you will need to inform the Council by 15 JULY by calling 262626 or 224889.

If there are any questions you would like to ask about the coming by-election or suggestions, please contact Charlie email: cstewart202@live.co.uk phone: 01242 581368), or Steve (email: cllr.steve.jordan@cheltenham.gov.uk phone: 01242 235614)
